SolDAC Newsletter – May 2023
Did you know that one of the four pillars identified by the International Energy Agency (IEA) to fulfill the promises of net zero emissions by 2050 is based on the implementation of different methods and techniques to capture and reduce carbon emissions and other technologies for the removal of atmospheric CO2 to mitigate and compensate residual emissions that are difficult to reduce?
Within SolDAC project, we are developing a new system for Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS) for producing market-competitive and socially desirable ethylene and by-product ethanol from the air, reinventing the ethylene industry, and replacing the current carbon-positive routes!
During the first months of SolDAC project, we have been developing the three different units that will compose the SolDAC system. These units are the Full Spectrum Solar collector (FSS), the Direct Air Capture unit (DAC) and the Photo-Electrochemical Stack (PEC).
Our process aims at offering a energetically self-sufficient, economically viable and carbon-negative on the condition that each unit reaches new targets in efficiency.
