On November 14, 2023, the SolDAC project actively participated in the “Public Perception and Business Models” workshop held in Brussels. The primary objective of the workshop was to shape the Social Acceptance methodology for projects like SolDAC by drawing insights from analogous initiatives. It served as a central meeting point for more than 50 key stakeholders and 20 projects, fostering networking, collaboration, and the exchange of knowledge.

Each project on the agenda was presented through the lens of social acceptance and the assessments of public perception that had been conducted. This marks a significant starting point for SolDAC, providing an opportunity to harmonize its social acceptance survey and strategy with the latest evaluations related to Carbon Capture, Utilization, and Storage (CCUS) technologies. The intention is to contribute to the measurement of the Social Readiness Level of the solution that SolDAC is currently developing.

Notably, the event was organized by the Carbon Capture, Utilisation, and Storage & Alternative Fuels Horizon 2020 cluster projects in conjunction with CINEA – the European Climate, Infrastructure, and Environment Executive Agency.
